Our shade sails are constructed using 190 GSM 100% virgin (Non-recycled) HDPE material that has undergone 20,000 hours of laboratory UV testing. This virgin HDPE fabric is proven to be 70% more durable compared to recycled HDPE under sun exposure. The fabric has also been treated with a UV stabilized compound, preventing the sails from drying out, tearing, and fading, significantly extending their lifespan.

These high-quality shade sails block 95% of harmful UV radiation, significantly reducing the temperature and UV exposure in the shaded area during the summer months. The breathable woven fabric allows water and air to pass through freely, preventing pooling on rainy days. The sails are resistant to both UV and water, requiring no maintenance.

For enhanced durability, all edges are reinforced with heavy-duty, double-layered stitched seams, preventing frayed edges and deformation. Each corner is equipped with a stainless steel D-ring for easy installation, with extra-heavy stitching to ensure the D-rings are firmly attached to the sail.

While the shade sails are delivered with the necessary D-rings, additional hardware is required for installation and sold separately. We strongly recommend using our high-quality ColourTree hardware kits and cables for the best performance and appearance. It is crucial to avoid using nylon ropes, as they can easily break.

The installation process is straightforward: 1. Install Pad Eyes at the designated mounting points. 2. Connect each corner's D-Ring to these points using ropes or turnbuckles, but do not tighten them completely at first. 3. Incrementally increase the tension to achieve a flat, taut sail surface.

When selecting the right size, measure the area you wish to shade and choose a sail that is at least 1-2 feet larger than that area. Identify 3/4 mounting points, leaving 0.5-1 foot between each sail corner and its mount to ensure the sail is stretched taut and flat.
